01 / OBSERVE

Radio detail, live

Serving and neighbouring cells, channels and signal measurements. MOCN-aware attribution keeps the registered network separate from the cell’s reported PLMN.

02 / RECORD

Keep moving. Keep recording.

GPS-linked observations stay on your phone offline. Sync over HTTPS when connected, using a separate credential for each installation.

03 / EXPLORE

See the coverage you collect

Browse shared coverage, observed cell footprints and estimated positions by operator, radio and band. One phone’s survey adds to the map.

Ready for a field test.

This is an early public field-test release.
Real phone measurements will help validate handset behaviour and mapping quality.

  1. Install on your Android phone. Download the APK and allow installation from your browser if Android asks. The public HTTPS backend is already configured.
  2. Grant precise location and phone access. Turn on location services. Allow notifications so you can see and stop active recording.
  3. Start a recording outdoors. Wait for a fresh GPS fix. Move through the area, then stop the recording when you finish.
  4. Connect and sync. Choose Sync and contribute on Wi-Fi or mobile data, then explore the shared map. Unavailable radio fields depend on the phone and network; estimated positions are not surveyed tower locations.

Shared network. Clear identity.

Designed for surveys across MOCN networks, including VodafoneThree.

Serving cells use the registered network when Android supplies reliable registration evidence. The original reported PLMN is kept alongside it, so differences remain visible. Neighbours keep their own reported identity. Bands come from modem data or supported channel calculations. If the handset withholds registration details or a band, the app shows that limitation; it does not decode raw SIB1 or invent missing values.

Your surveys. Your choice to share.

Recording stays on your device until you sync. Uploads contain precise GPS positions, times and radio measurements, linked to a random installation identity rather than your name. Your raw sessions, exports and detailed map require that installation’s private credential.

New recordings contribute to the shared map by default when you sync. The app explains this before upload, and Settings lets you choose private recording instead. Older queued records are not automatically shared. Shared results omit device identities, session identifiers and precise tracks. Rounding reduces precision; it does not guarantee anonymity. You can continue using private surveys without contributing.

Keep the app’s data if you want continued access to your uploaded history: this first release has device credentials, with no email account recovery. Basemap tiles are supplied by OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address and viewed map areas.
